Scaling is simple with EOH and AWS

More than a decade ago, AWS changed the way that companies consumed compute resources. Through the introduction of scalable, on-demand web services, AWS enabled business to enter a world where they needed only to pay for what they used, with no added extras.

Scaling for your needs

Auto Scaling allows a business to specify the metrics they want to use to determine the proper size for the application, along with the rules necessary to determine the specific optimal number of servers. Auto Scaling automatically launches and terminates servers as needed to meet that optimal number.

Newly created servers are automatically provisioned and configured to run the application required, and Auto Scaling can also automatically perform standard actions such as adding and removing servers from the application load balancer as needed.

AWS has now introduced an enhanced Auto Scaling capability on the AWS platform. AWS Auto Scaling monitors applications and automatically adjusts capacity to maintain steady, predictable performance at the lowest possible cost. Using AWS Auto Scaling, it’s easy to setup application scaling for multiple resources across multiple services in minutes. The service provides a simple, powerful user interface that lets you build scaling plans for multiple resources.

  • Amazon EC2 instances and Spot Fleets
  • Amazon ECStasks
  • Amazon DynamoDB tables and indexes
  • Amazon Aurora Replicas
